Note: Upon review of the rules I realized my stats were not correct. The error would not change the outcome of what has already been written as the probabilities would have been essentially the same. It is more of a book keeping issue and my wish to stick to the rules as written as closely as possible that I have adjusted the stats of Sinder. For those of you wishing to understand, Each attribute has a two associated skills. So if you look at Combat the two associated skills are Fight and Flee. The number directly to the right of 'Combat' is the hard number. Your core stat. The number between Fight and Flee is your current number, a sliding scale between 2 - 9, it starts out equal to the hard number of the attribute. This current number fluctuates depending on success / fails of the skill. It reflects how good you are currently and in a since how well the skill has served you in the past. If you look at fight you will see an asterisk, this reflects which of the two skills for that attribute Sinder is more proficient. You will see one skill per attribute marked this way. Now if you wish to use the skill to the left of the current number, you must roll lower then the number between the two skills. If you are trying to use the skill to the right of the current number, you must roll higher. The skill you have chosen gets to include the current number in its range. So if you look at the Social skill for Sinder. You see that he has a hard number, or core stat, is 8. He has chosen Empathetic as his skill for that attribute. I imagine Sinder being rough around the edges, quiet, and often socially ackward. Playing off his upbringing roll of - Raised by EVIL forces, he has a tendency to lash our verbally despite the fact that he really just wants to find peace. Now if Sinder wishes to engage with someone socially, and he is trying to be empathetic, when he makes his skill check he would need to roll an 8 or higher for a success. On the other hand if he was being Aggressive he would need a roll of 7 or lower. So its easier for him to be aggressive and he often comes off this way initially.
